Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team at White Rabbit Family. The General Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and supporting month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
Record and maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Reconcile daily cash, credit card, and bank transactions.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records and transactions.
Process invoices, receipts, and payments in the accounting software.
Assist in inventory management
Support monthly and year-end closing procedures.
Assist with preparing vat returns, sales vat filings, and other regulatory compliance documentation like municipality
Help with audits and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Provide general accounting support as needed by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or relevant work experience).
1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or similar is a plus).
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
