Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities including sales invoicing, accounts payable, payroll preparation, bank reconciliations, and supporting the month-end closing process. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with company policies and adherence to UAE financial and VAT regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Receivables:
Prepare and issue sales invoices and credit notes in coordination with the sales and operations teams.
Record and maintain accounts receivable transactions accurately.
Follow up with customers for timely collection of outstanding payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
Payables & Procurement Accounting:
Process supplier invoices, ensuring proper approvals and matching with purchase orders and delivery notes.
Maintain accounts payable ledger and prepare supplier reconciliations. Schedule and process payments (cheques, bank transfers, or online).
Maintain proper documentation for supplier payments and ensure VAT compliance.
Payroll & Staff Accounting:
Prepare monthly payroll in coordination with HR (salaries, allowances, overtime, and deductions).
Maintain employee advances and expense claims records.
Process payroll payments and ensure timely WPS submissions as per UAE regulations.
Bank & Cash Management:
Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Record petty cash transactions and reconcile balances.
Monitor daily cash flow and assist in cash forecasting.
Financial Reporting:
Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Assist in preparing management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Support auditors by providing required schedules and documentation.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in preparing VAT returns.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for audit and management review.
Follow company accounting policies and internal control procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience (preferably in UAE).
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
Working knowledge of UAE VAT and basic labor law related to payroll.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
