Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the company, including the preparation of financial statements, monitoring general accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations. The role also involves participating in financial planning and performance analysis to ensure the company achieves its goals efficiently and transparently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise all accounting department activities and ensure accuracy of financial operations.
- Prepare and review financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
- Prepare periodic financial reports and present them to senior management.
- Review journal entries, customer and supplier accounts, and reconcile bank balances.
- Monitor receivables and payables and ensure proper documentation in the accounting system.
- Prepare and analyze annual budgets and forecast reports.
- Monitor expenses and revenues to ensure compliance with the approved budget.
- Oversee the implementation of financial and accounting policies and procedures within the company.
- Prepare tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
- Provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance and reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with local financial laws and accounting standards.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of modern accounting systems and software.
- Strong financial analysis skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate financial reports.
- Familiarity with tax laws and both local and international accounting standards.
