The General Accountant is responsible for performing daily accounting tasks and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP. The role includes preparing reconciliations, supporting financial reporting, managing collections, and ensuring smooth financial operations within the company.
Responsibilities:
Strong knowledge and application of
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
.
Perform
Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliations
accurately.
Prepare
bank reconciliations
and ensure all
bank payments are processed on time
.
Handle
AR collections
and follow up effectively with customers to ensure timely payments.
Work with
general ledger functions
, including journal entries and month-end closing.
Prepare and review
VAT returns
and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Requirements:
BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
.
2-3 years of experience
in accounting or a similar role.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
