Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Garment Technologist

to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring product quality, consistency, and fit across all Chic Le Frique collections. The successful candidate will manage fittings and technical specifications for our in-house sampling and production unit, while also liaising closely with external suppliers in China and India.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of garment fitting and sizing to maintain Chic Le Frique's brand fit standards. Conduct in-house fit sessions with models and design teams, recording clear amendments and technical comments. Create and update detailed technical packs (tech packs) including measurements, construction details, and finishing standards. Manage sample development from first fit to production approval, ensuring accurate execution. Work closely with China and India suppliers, providing clear technical feedback and monitoring production progress. Ensure garments meet brand quality standards, including fabric performance, trims, construction, and finishing. Conduct risk assessments on designs for production feasibility and cost efficiency. Approve TOP (Top of Production) samples prior to shipment. Collaborate with design and production teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring smooth transition from design to bulk. Maintain up-to-date size charts and grading rules across product categories. Support continuous improvement in garment quality, fit, and manufacturing efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Garment Technologist within fashion retail or brand (womenswear experience preferred). Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and finishing techniques. Experience managing suppliers and production in China and/or India. Excellent technical specification skills. Confident in leading fit sessions and communicating amendments clearly. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator (or similar) is an advantage but not essential.
