Job Role: Freight Forwarding Specialist/Operations Executive

Job Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Forwarding Specialist/Operations Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sea Freight operations, customs clearance, and possess extensive knowledge of Dubai Trade and contacts within shipping lines. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient freight forwarding operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the end-to-end logistics process and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of Sea Freight operations, including but not limited to LCL and FCL shipments.

Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and procedures for smooth customs clearance.

Coordinate and negotiate with shipping lines to secure competitive rates and ensure timely delivery of shipments.

Utilize Dubai Trade platform and other relevant systems for efficient

Documentation and tracking of shipments.

Handle and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during the freight forwarding process.

Maintain a strong network of contacts within the industry to facilitate smooth operations and explore business opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.

Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.

Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to make informed decisions and recommendations.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in Sea Freight operations and customs clearance, preferably in a freight forwarding company.

In-depth knowledge of Dubai Trade platform and familiarity with relevant

Documentation and procedures.

Strong network and contacts within shipping lines and industry stakeholders.

Excellent understanding of LCL and FCL shipments, including container loading and consolidation.

Proficiency in using freight management systems and software.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and partners.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
