About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled

Freelance Chef de Cuisine

to lead and elevate our culinary experience on a project basis. Whether for a pop-up, private event, concept development, or seasonal operation, you'll be responsible for designing menus, leading the kitchen team, ensuring top-tier food quality, and maintaining kitchen efficiency. This role is perfect for a creative, hands-on chef with a deep passion for ingredients, innovation, and delivering unforgettable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the kitchen and oversee daily culinary operations during the project/event. Develop and execute seasonal or event-specific menus with a focus on quality and originality. Source high-quality ingredients and manage vendor relationships if required. Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations. Manage food and labor costs within budget parameters. Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed. Collaborate closely with event planners, front-of-house staff, or brand teams to ensure seamless execution.

Requirements

Proven experience as a

Chef de Cuisine

or

Specialty Chef

in high-end, boutique, or innovative culinary settings. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Deep understanding of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Ability to adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and project scopes. Creativity and passion for food presentation, flavor, and trends. Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and travel (if applicable). Culinary degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
