Job Description

We are urgently looking for a skilled ESTIMATOR with proven expertise in interior fitout and joinery projects. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of the UAE construction market, strong technical skills, and the ability to prepare accurate cost estimates for complex projects involving interior joinery, fitout works, glass and aluminium systems, and loose furniture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

COST ESTIMATION & ANALYSIS:

o Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior fitout, joinery, glass & aluminium, and loose furniture projects

o Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents

o Conduct material take-offs and quantify project requirements

o Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

TENDER MANAGEMENT:

o Review tender documents and prepare competitive bid submissions

o Coordinate with technical teams to ensure all project aspects are covered

o Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required

o Analyze competitor pricing and market trends

VENDOR & SUPPLIER COORDINATION:

o Source and negotiate with local UAE suppliers and subcontractors

o Maintain updated database of material costs and supplier contacts

o Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers

PROJECT SUPPORT:

o Collaborate with project managers and technical teams

o Assist in value engineering and cost optimization

o Prepare cost comparison reports and variations

o Support contract negotiations and finalizations

DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING:

o Maintain organized estimation files and documentation

o Prepare detailed estimation reports and presentations

o Update cost databases and historical project data

o Ensure compliance with company standards and UAE regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

? Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field

? Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience as an Estimator in interior fitout/joinery industry

? In-depth knowledge of interior joinery systems and construction methods

? Strong understanding of glass and aluminium facade/partition systems

? Experience with loose furniture procurement and estimation

? Proven track record of successful tender submissions

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

? Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drawing interpretation and material takeoff)

? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, cost analysis)

? Experience with estimation software (CostX, Bluebeam, or similar)

? Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings

? Strong understanding of BOQ preparation and tender documentation

UAE MARKET KNOWLEDGE:

? Comprehensive knowledge of UAE construction market and pricing

? Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations and approval processes

? Established network of local suppliers and subcontractors

? Understanding of UAE labor laws and construction contracts

? Knowledge of material specifications and local availability

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

? Strong analytical and numerical skills

? Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

? Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

? Strong communication skills (English mandatory, Arabic advantage)

? Team player with proactive attitude

? Self-motivated and able to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (ADVANTAGE)

o Experience with commercial/retail fitout projects

o Knowledge of MEP systems and coordination

o Familiarity with hotel or residential interior projects

o Certification in Quantity Surveying or Cost Estimation

o Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

o Valid UAE driving license
