Fire & Emergency Response Superintendent / Fire Chief

The Fire Fighter Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of fire and rescue personnel within oil & gas facilities, ensuring readiness and effective response to emergencies including fires, gas leaks, chemical spills, and rescue operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field (preferred). Minimum

7 years

of firefighting experience in oil & gas or petrochemical facilities. At least

2-3 years

in a supervisory or crew leader position. Supervise and coordinate daily operations of fire crew personnel across oil & gas installations, such as refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, or offshore platforms. Act as the Incident Commander during initial emergency response until relieved by senior authority. Ensure firefighting teams are trained, equipped, and prepared for incidents involving hydrocarbon fires, hazardous materials, confined space rescue, and emergency medical response. Conduct regular fire drills, simulations, and scenario-based training to maintain operational readiness. Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems (e.g., foam systems, deluge systems, fire extinguishers, hydrants, SCBA). Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy, QP (Qatar Petroleum), and other regulatory fire safety standards.
