Finishing Engineer's

for

Snagging

,

De-snagging

, and

Report Closure

involves conducting thorough site inspections to identify defects, managing the correction of these issues with contractors, and formally documenting the completion of all works.

Key duties include verifying compliance with specifications, coordinating with other teams, creating and tracking snag lists, conducting final de-snagging checks, and ensuring all documentation is complete for project closure.

Key responsibilities

Snagging:

Conduct detailed site inspections to identify and document cosmetic and functional defects in finishing works, comparing them against approved drawings and specifications.

De-snagging:

Perform final inspections to verify that all previously identified issues have been correctly rectified by the contractor.

Report and documentation:

Create and manage snag lists, issue non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure all defects are recorded and tracked.

Verification:

Check that all rectification work meets the required quality and standards, and ensure the project complies with design intent, contract specifications, and safety codes.

Coordination:

Liaise with other disciplines (e.g., architecture, MEP) and the project manager to resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the snagging and de-snagging process.

Closure:

Oversee the final project handover process by ensuring all snags are closed and all required documentation, including completion certificates, is finalized and signed off.

Compliance:

Ensure the contractor is compliant with all contractual obligations and that all safety and quality checks are passed before closing out the job.

Skills and qualifications

Proven experience of at least

3-7 Years

in finishing works, with knowledge of trades such as painting, tiling, flooring, and gypsum. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings. Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures. Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage contractors and coordinate with other teams. Proficiency with relevant software, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or specialized
