The Role
\xe2\x80\xa2 Performs the financial administration for the unit including budgeting, capital purchases and other finance related activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures that budgets are in line with department objective. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepares purchase orders and executes some purchases \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinates with Finance & Budget department and Contracts & purchase department for any major expense/purchase required \xe2\x80\xa2 Reviews and processes tender applications and prepares contracts and maintenance orders \xe2\x80\xa2 Documents revenues and expenditures expected & incurred and submits the same to management \xe2\x80\xa2 Handles all finance related queries \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepares monthly reports detailing departments finances, budget account statement purchase statement, and HR information \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepares faculty conferences concerning (Tickets, accommodation, opening breaks, lunch, dinner, gifts & stationary) \xe2\x80\xa2 Handles payroll issues \xe2\x80\xa2 Grants management such as research funds, working with PI \xe2\x80\xa2 Review and approve time sheets submitted by either college or research funds \xe2\x80\xa2 Reconciles petty cash \xe2\x80\xa2 Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Requirements
Minimum Qualification \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance. Preferred Qualification \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance. Expected Skills/Rank/Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Accounting Knowledge \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in English \xe2\x80\xa2 Microsoft Office Suite \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective resource management \xe2\x80\xa2 Communication Skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Team work \xe2\x80\xa2 Work under pressure
