to oversee all financial aspects of our Travel & Tourism operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, compliance, and reporting, with a strong understanding of the travel industry's unique financial processes including tour costing, agent commissions, and seasonal cash flows.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Monitor cash flow, forecast financial trends, and implement financial controls.
Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial plans for different departments (e.g., ticketing, tours, visa processing).
Ensure accurate costing and profitability analysis of tour packages, travel itineraries, and group bookings.
Oversee reconciliation with travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, DMCs, etc.) and travel agents.
Manage tax filings (VAT, corporate tax), regulatory compliance, and liaison with auditors and external stakeholders.
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Lead and develop the finance team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate with travel consultants and operations to ensure proper documentation and invoicing.
Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools for reporting automation and cost tracking.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Proven years of financial management experience, preferably in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws in the UAE (or local market).
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books).
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and reporting skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during peak travel seasons.
