Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Facade Designer - Aluminum & Facade

to join our design team in Doha, Qatar. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the design, detailing, and engineering of high-performance facade systems for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. The role requires a combination of technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, and rigorous attention to detail to ensure that all facade solutions are structurally sound, aesthetically compelling, and compliant with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of diverse facade systems, including

curtain walls, ACP cladding, glazing systems, spider systems, skylights, and other complex building envelopes

. Translate architectural concepts into fully

engineered, constructible solutions

, adhering to project specifications and design intent. Prepare, review, and approve

shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation details, and 3D models

, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure

design compliance, constructability, and quality standards

. Conduct and verify

structural calculations and performance analyses

, including wind load, thermal expansion, deflection, and system behavior. Evaluate and select suitable facade materials and components, preparing

technical submittals, material specifications, and BOQs

for client and contractor approvals. Ensure all facade designs comply with

Qatar building codes, international standards, safety regulations, and sustainability guidelines

. Provide technical guidance and support to

site teams

during execution, resolving design-related issues promptly. Stay updated on

innovative facade materials, technologies, sustainable practices, and industry best practices

. Mentor and supervise junior designers and CAD technicians, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project design intent.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in

Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

.

5-10+ years of proven experience

in facade design, with a focus on

aluminum, glass, and high-performance facade systems

. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

; knowledge of Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, or other facade modeling tools is an advantage. Comprehensive knowledge of

facade systems, design principles, fabrication techniques, and installation processes

. Ability to

read, interpret, and coordinate architectural and structural drawings

accurately. Strong

communication, leadership, and coordination skills

, capable of managing interdisciplinary discussions and resolving complex technical challenges. Experience in

sustainable and energy-efficient facade design

is preferred. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to

deliver high-quality designs under tight deadlines
