Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Facade Designer at Precision Facade. The Facade Designer will be responsible for creating shop drawings, designing facades, working with cladding and glazing materials, and ensuring the quality and precision of architectural elements. The Facade Designer will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to bring the architectural vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with Precision Facade clients and provide specialist input during design and tender phases of projects to resolve technical problems and ensure quality of services. Coordinate with internal and external teams including Architecture, Structural Engineering, MEP Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Fire and Life Safety, Facade Access, Project Management etc. Use AutoCAD, Rhino and Revit to communicate intent and prepare facade design documentation. Design and detailing of various facade systems and cladding types involving different materials and systems to meet the complex facade demands of the project. Prepare design reports for design stages. Liaise with manufacturers and system suppliers to better understand capabilities and limitations of their products. Provide practical advice to clients on build-ability and facade construction processes. Coordinate with Main Contractors and their specialist subcontractors. Handle routine contract administration for office and project procedures. Responsible for project drafting compliance with the Company's procedures, work instructions and goals and client requirements. Manage project drafting resources and schedules to maintain the program. Manage and mentor Junior Facade Draftsperson/s.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from a reputed University. Minimum 5 years' experience in Facade Design / industry Aluminum & Glass (windows, doors, curtain wall, point fixing glass, balustrade, handrails, pergola, aluminum composite panels, cladding) Ability to do structural calculation is an advantage Sound knowledge in facade systems and design and relevant codes and standards Strong skills in Facade Design and Cladding Experience working in the office and on site. Expert in AutoCAD, Revit and Rhino. Strong track record of working cross-functionally within a complex matrix organization. Experience in forming strong and collaborative relationships with team members across different regions and focus areas. Ability to hand sketch and present ideas during meetings and presentations. Meticulous attention to detail with ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Strong time management skills and ability to deal effectively with changes and unexpected problems and issues. Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Experience in creating shop drawings for architectural projects Knowledge of glazing materials and their application in facades Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure quality and precision Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other professionals Experience in the construction or architectural industry is a plus
