Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled Facade Designer with experience in designing glass, metal, and aluminum facade systems for commercial and residential projects in the UAE. You'll be responsible for creating innovative, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing facade designs that meet client requirements and comply with local building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop facade systems, including curtain walls, glazed walls, and metal/aluminum cladding.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.
3. Conduct site visits to monitor facade installation and ensure compliance with design specifications.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in facade design.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in facade design, preferably in the glass, metal, and aluminum industry.
3. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD).
4. Knowledge of facade systems, materials, and construction methods.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and computational design tools.
2. Familiarity with UAE building codes and regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council).
3. LEED AP or equivalent sustainability certification.
