Study drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to understand project scope
Take
accurate quantity take-offs
from shop drawings and IFC drawings
Price materials such as MDF, plywood, veneers, laminates, solid wood, hardware, fittings, finishes, and accessories
Obtain and evaluate quotations from
suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers
Coordinate with design, production, and site teams to ensure estimates are practical and competitive
Prepare
rate analysis
, cost breakdowns, and value engineering proposals
Compare tender drawings with site conditions and highlight discrepancies
Assist in
budget control, cost monitoring, and variation pricing
during project execution
Maintain updated costing databases for materials, labor, and production
Support project managers during contract negotiations and clarifications
Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field
2-5 years experience
as a Joinery Estimator (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of
joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing processes
Proficient in
AutoCAD, MS Excel
, and estimation software (if applicable)
Ability to read and interpret
shop drawings and interior details
Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
