Coordinate with sub-contractors to receive input for pricing on labor, materials, and other costs
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and receive the most competitive offers and delivery schedules
Administer, develop, and maintain up-to-date project estimates reflecting project scenarios, strategies, and priorities and identify materials with long lead constraints
Perform post-audit reviews of bids lost and actual performance of awarded projects
Review all estimating systems on an ongoing basis to ensure that the efficiency of the department is maximized
Submit accurate cost estimates on schedule with all required documents
Ensure all bids submitted are competitive in terms of labor and material
Create a summary for the entire project/proposal, including the costs of labor, equipment materials, sub-contracts, overhead, insurance, mark-up, and any other costs that may affect the project
