This role requires strong technical expertise, market awareness, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure profitable and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Review design drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and procurement teams to prepare compliant and competitive bids.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations to achieve cost-effective pricing.
Develop detailed BOQs, cost summaries, and commercial tender submissions.
Identify value engineering opportunities while ensuring compliance with quality and client requirements.
Assess and document risks, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications within tender submissions.
Stay updated on UAE market rates, material pricing, and fit-out industry trends to support accurate cost forecasting.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
4-6 years of proven estimation experience in interior fit-out projects within the UAE.
Strong technical knowledge of joinery, gypsum works, MEP coordination, flooring, finishes, and bespoke furniture.
Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant estimation/BOQ preparation software.
Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluency in English is required (Arabic is an advantage).
Demonstrated experience preparing bids for commercial, hospitality, retail, or office fit-out projects.
