Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs. This role is crucial for ensuring our projects are financially viable and meet our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and plans to determine the scope of work and required resources. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure estimates are comprehensive and accurate. Develop and maintain cost databases to track historical data and improve future estimates. Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they are competitive and meet project requirements. Prepare bid proposals and presentations for clients, highlighting the value and quality of our services. Monitor project costs during construction to ensure they remain within budget and identify any potential cost overruns. Provide regular updates and reports to management on project cost status and any changes in estimates. Continuously improve estimating processes and techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends, material prices, and labor rates to ensure estimates are current and accurate.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the construction industry, particularly in Dubai or the UAE. Knowledge of project management software and tools. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience with value engineering and cost optimization techniques.
