hands-on experience in preparing and calculating Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
for civil construction projects. Prior experience working within the UAE market and knowledge of local construction practices, codes, and pricing is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate
Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and planning teams to collect and analyze data for project costing.
Review and verify subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure alignment with project scope and specifications.
Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for tenders and ongoing projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices and construction trends in the UAE.
Participate in value engineering and cost optimization strategies.
Provide support during contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
or related field.
Minimum of
3-5 years of experience
in estimation, preferably within civil/infrastructure projects.
Mandatory: Strong experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs
.
Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, drawings, and local market rates in the UAE.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
UAE experience is mandatory.
