Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Contract Duties:
Analyze tender documents (drawings, specifications, BOQs) to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Perform material take-offs and quantity calculations using
PlanSwift
and AutoCAD.
Develop and review
Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
and cost breakdowns.
Liaise with procurement and vendors to secure competitive quotes for materials and subcontractor services.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and conduct
value engineering
studies.
Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial bid proposals.
Post-Contract Duties:
Assist in
contract negotiation and cost finalization
post-award.
Monitor actual vs. estimated costs, identify variances, and support dispute resolution.
Collaborate with QS and site teams to manage change orders, variations, and remeasurements.
Support cost control, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
Evaluate subcontractor claims and prepare supporting documentation.
Attend client meetings and assist in preparing
monthly valuations, cost reports
, and final accounts.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
Certifications (Preferred):
RICS, MRICS, PMP, or CCP (AACEI).
Software Proficiency:
Expert in
PlanSwift
, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation tools (e.g., Candy, CostX).
Experience:
Minimum
10 years
in civil contracting (buildings, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects).
Knowledge:
Familiarity with local market rates, material pricing, and labor productivity norms.
