The SWAD Director, Entertainment will be responsible for the Entertainment daily operation of the only SeaWorld Park outside of the United States. You will lead a world-class entertainment Program that not only inspires but leaves our guests with \xe2\x80\x9cnew eyes\xe2\x80\x9d to see their own world differently when they return home.

Bring this vision to life by fostering and developing a passionate group of entertainment professionals, as well as an operational model that\'s intent on both protecting and growing the SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi\'s core vision.

In this role, you will:
  • Serve as a guardian and champion of the SeaWorld brand standards as well coordinate with multiple stakeholders to provide strategic direction and communicate this clearly to both the Operator and I.P. holder.
  • Leverage SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment\'s history and expertise in both running the Entertainment Operations and support the development of a comprehensive consumer event program to drive attendance, in park revenue, and passholder conversion that could rival any domestic SeaWorld operation.
  • Match objectives with park story concepts, themes, and utilize appropriate technologies to create fun and meaningful guest experiences that drive incremental revenue.
  • LISTEN TO OUR GUESTS: Apply guest research to observe \xe2\x80\x9creal\xe2\x80\x9d guest opinion and actions to continually cultivate existing guest experiences.
  • Serve as \xe2\x80\x9cExecutive Producer\xe2\x80\x9d for SWAD ensuring that all elements of each production are adequate and appropriate.
  • Oversee ongoing casting and talent development for large-scale productions, several atmosphere acts, and multiple costumed characters.
  • Partner with key Miral leaders including Sales, Marketing, and other relevant departments in the conceptualization, design, and development of entertainment components for new attractions, consumer events and marketing & sales initiatives.
  • Work with SeaWorld IP Brand Director for review and approval of all creative concepts and serve as a champion of the \xe2\x80\x9cSeaWorld Voice\xe2\x80\x9d for the SWAD park leadership team.
  • Develop and manage annual financial, capital and labor budgets for the department.
  • Responsible for executing strategic short and long-term plans that align with Miral Experiences strategies.
  • Responsible for leading the entertainment operations team to include ambassador development while providing leadership, coaching, mentoring and direction to staff in career development and performance management.
  • Conduct appraisals as per company policies.
  • Set team KPI\'s, track and report results.
  • Partnering both in and outside of the department with management counterparts and performs as departmental and park duty manager if required.
  • Responsible for oversight of department safety programs and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that company and IP Holder\'s culture is consistently demonstrated in ambassadors through training, development, and performance management initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with company and legal guidelines and adherence to ethical and social principles espoused by Miral Experiences and SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment.
  • Actively pursue global entertainment industry trends for evaluation and consideration.
  • Lead team in improved operational efficiencies.
  • Shepherd Park culture and workplace climate, ensuring that all levels of colleagues can work in a productive, engaging, and motivating environment.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Theatre, Theatre Arts or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience; experience to include financial responsibility for a business unit or area, leadership of creative and production personnel and planning.
  • Must have 5+ years prior live entertainment experience or equivalent field experience within a theme park. Experience to include creative development and producing/production experience in the entertainment industry.
  • Must have 3+ years\' experience in developing and operating live animal experiences and proven ability to develop and foster the partnership necessary between animal care specialists and entertainment ambassadors to ensure the highest level of safety, as well as creative integrity.
  • Position may require domestic and international travel, with trips lasting two days to two weeks.
  • Proven results, via ratings and attendance, in delivering quality entertainment productions.
  • Proven safety track record.
  • Must have demonstrated management skills, including cross-functional strategic planning, strong financial acumen, ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, setting and meeting organizational goals, time management, problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated initiative, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; Confident and outgoing presence with the ability to professionally interact with various levels of ambassadors and leadership.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi on a long-term basis.
