Dubai Holding Entertainment currently has an exciting career opportunity within our Assets at Ain Dubai (Business Vertical). We are looking to hire a Director - Technical Services. This role is primarily focused on the safe, reliable and efficient technical operation of Ain Dubai observation wheel. Pre-opening: this role shall review and advise on design and delivery matters relating to the wheel (owners technical Rep). Day-to-day: lead the onsite technical team regarding full compliance with all SOP, inspection and R&M tasks. Strategically: ensure all necessary systems and PPM measures are in place including full compliance with all government. Authority or relevant industry codes, Achievement of strategic business objectives and KPIs in line with the overall L&E strategy and business direction. Key Accountabilities (Includes, but not limited to the following): Functional Review and advise on engineering designs- fit for purpose reviews. Deliver clear and concise feedback to the project delivery team and/or escalate where necessary review findings and concerns to Management Share practical operating & technical knowledge and experience to steer the design and delivery process; post opening applying the same principles to daily operations. Oversee the creation and delivery of a full and comprehensive suite of SOPs and departmental policies. Ensure Ain Dubai has an adequate and comprehensive PPM plan to deliver required "Up time". Manage ride "up time" within agreed limits (KPI's) Oversee the recruitment and training of the maintenance team. Ensure suitable manpower levels based on the approve FTE headcount to consistently deliver a safe, high quality attraction. Develop and manage departmental budgets within agreed limits (KPIs). Full compliance with all external and internal safety standards. Mange various external supplier relationships and keep fully informed and up to date of any industry developments, new products and services. Efficient and effective spare parts and consumables planning to best support wheel operation and the company's overall business objectives. Oversee project work from the technical design and execution perspective in order to deliver all approved projects on time and within budget. Mange external and internal stakeholder relationships. Provide regular updates to management and relevant departments on wheel operation. As a part of Ain Dubai's Leadership Team, Participate in duty manager program and relevant leadership roles. Financial Prepare and present inputs related to organizational/departmental/project budgets to the next reporting line Manage and control the actual cost verses budget on periodic basis and provide financial reports/data related to the department/division/project's financial performance. Processes Develop and implement policies, procedures and processes for the respective function/department and ensure reviewing and keeping the existing ones updated as part of the 'continuous process improvement'. Manage implementation of relevant electronic systems to bring efficiency and effectiveness existing process. Set objectives/KPIs/milestones for the respective department/function and conduct appraisals for direct reportees on Electronic Performance Management System. Learning & Development Ensure that team members are provided learning and career development opportunities by identifying successors within the team, preparing them for the next accountable roles and recommending them for external trainings whenever required in consultation with HR department Ensure that productivity and services delivery of the department is improved on continuous basis by keeping team members motivated and retained.
