About the Role: The Director of Entertainment is responsible for delivering a curated experiences for guests while ensuring the success and profitability of the hotel\'s entertainment program. Their responsibilities include planning events, and booking promoters for various locations, negotiating contracts for entertainers, overseeing event operations, and supervising the work of set designers, costume designers, make-up artists, actors, and others. The Director of Entertainment will also be responsible to deliver incredible atmosphere and energy around the hotel by developing an annual calendar of activations that focus on art, food, wellness, music, and fashion. They will utilize celebrity artists and impactful activations to generate local and international awareness, drive PR, and earn accolades. This position will collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications of the Link and liaise with the EAM Food & Beverage.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop the entertainment strategy and oversee the hotel\'s entertainment programs and activities, including live performances, music events, and other recreational activities for guests
  • Planning Events such as concerts, shows, performances, and other activities that will attract and entertain guests
  • Booking and negotiating with performers, agents, and vendors to ensure the entertainment program is successful and profitable.
  • Manage the entertainment budget and ensure that all events and activities are cost-effective and profitable
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the entertainment team and ensure that they deliver the highest level of guest service and satisfaction
  • Work with the hotel marketing team to promote events, develop marketing campaigns and evaluate their success
  • Establish relationships with local and renowned artists, musicians, and performers to enhance the quality of the hotel\'s entertainment offerings
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the entertainment department and ensure that they comply with the hotel\'s standards and regulations
  • Performance evaluation of the success of entertainment programs, analyzing feedback from guests and staff, and making recommendations for improvements to enhance guest experience and profitability
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a large operation and or hotel
  • Creative mindset to develop and implement engaging and innovative ideas that will attract and entertain guests
  • Exceptional event planning skills to manage a wide range of activities, from concept development to logistics, budgeting, and execution
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for negotiating contracts, liaising with vendors and entertainers, and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of professionals, including set designers, performers, and other staff
  • Strong marketing skills are crucial for creating and promoting entertainment events that appeal to the target audience
  • Ability to manage budgets and analyse financial reports is critical to ensure the profitability of the entertainment program
  • Adapt to changing circumstances, including unexpected challenges or opportunities, and adjust plans accordingly
  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry, trends, and emerging technologies is essential to keep the entertainment program relevant and competitive
