Title:Engineering Manager - 132kV GSS and 132kV OHTL

KBR is looking for an Engineering Manager with experience in Substations and Over Headline Transmission experience to be based in Abu Dhabi for an EPCM project. Job Specification Role The Engineering Manager will lead all engineering activity as part of the provision of Project Management Consultant (PMC) services for the 132kV Grid Substation (132kV GSS) Project and the 132kV Overhead Line (132kV OHTL) Project. This will include ensuring that all engineering activity by EPC Contractors meets the requirements of the Contracts and the Client, resolving engineering issues and managing the PMC engineering resources. Responsibilities Assure correct performance of the following activities by EPC Contractors Development of the Engineering Deliverables list Quality of the Design outputs Incorporation of Company comments into the Engineering Design Engineering studies Coordination of Vendor Design documentation Monitor and drive Engineering progress in terms of both quality and schedule Manage and communicate all performance, resource, risk, cost, quality and schedule aspects of the engineering design process on behalf of the Client Management of PMC discipline engineers to ensure quality and schedule requirements are met Ensure safe design and quality of engineering deliverables Identify and resolve engineering issues Identify and resolve potential engineering conflicts between EPC Contractor's design and Client's and Contract's requirements Manage project engineering interfaces both internally within KBR and externally Review routine reports, initiate appropriate actions, and ensure actions are completed in the correct timeframe Prepare ITT documents Plan, manage and participate in tender technical evaluations Anticipate future tasks and challenges and prepare plans for review and approval Experience: Experience as an engineering manager in multi-discipline EPC projects - essential Experience as engineering manager in PMC role - essential Experience as engineering manager on project with significant power generation and distribution scope Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor's degree in any of the main Engineering branches. Electrical preferred but not essential. Minimum 20 years' experience in Oil and Gas related project design and engineering Minimum 5-10 years' experience in Oil and Gas project delivery as an Engineering manager Ability to write clear accurate English
