Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Lead, plan, coordinate and manage the Geomatics activities for Pipeline Network Division including GIS & special data management projects, Survey projects and Remote sensing projects, carryout spatial data assessment for improvement to meet companys operational and business requirements and coordinate the activities with the Engineering division (HQ).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Spatial Data Management
Lead, plan, coordinate and manage the Geomatics activities for Pipeline Network Division including GIS & special data management projects, Survey projects and Remote sensing projects, carryout spatial data assessment for improvement to meet companys operational and business requirements and coordinate the activities with the Engineering division (HQ).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Spatial Data Management
- Manage GIS projects for the Pipeline; Plan and manage activities associated with the maintenance of GIS system ensuring project deadlines are met, and timely escalation of issues to line Managers.
- Lead and support implementation of new GIS applications.
- Manage, plan and perform field data collection as needed.
- Perform satellite image analysis.
- Manage and coordinate and review GIS data submission from vendors.
- Work closely with network team to enhance solution for their need/requirements.
- Implement milestones aligned with the strategic architecture aligned with other OSS systems.
- Coordinate with vendor for CR deliveries.
- Manage, coordinate and perform regular review/update of the GIS information for all pipelines in the enterprise GIS solution using ArcGIS / ArcPro softwares.
- Coordinate the development and regular updates of the required GIS information for implementing the PIMS solution.
- Coordinate the actions between all departments to collect/review and upload pipeline GIS data to the central pipeline database.
- Prepare process and plans for mitigating risks for any loss or unavailability GIS maps data.
- Provide technical support for Management, NOC, Inspection, integrity, HSE, projects, Engineering and ADNOC HQ Geomatics teams.
- Keep up to date with new technology in GIS, updating all latest Maps from UAE municipalities(activities).
- Provide the company with required Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Cartography Services including assessing the GIS and Cartography data for its accuracy, quality and integrity in order to provide accurate and up-to date information.
- Maintain the GIS system by collecting the required data in different formats, cleaning CAD files and exporting data into the corporate Geo-database.
- Manage and ensure the quality of GIS maps data, to include geographic information and content accuracy, completeness, at various map layers.
- Bachelor Degree in Geographic Information Systems / Geosciences or equivalent professional qualification.
- 6 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & Computer Aided Design Planning, Development, Integration, and maintenance.
- Proficient in Geo-database Design, Concepts, Conventions and Security used within a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) environment
- Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices
- Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Co-ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording Professional Certifications
