The Position
The Engagement Leader role provides the opportunity to develop with one of the fastest growing human capital consultancies specializing in accelerating leader, team and organizational performance. Engagement Leaders are responsible for developing and leading consulting solutions as part of client engagements, acting as project leaders on specific projects, supporting Principals and Partners with client management and supporting business development activities.
In the course of a typical project, you will lead, manage and own problem-solving efforts on a large portion of a client engagement or act as the client lead on smaller engagements. Specifically, you will be responsible for identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and delivering solutions and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. Throughout an engagement, you will be involved in discussions and presentations with senior client leadership.
Accountabilities:
Design a range of consulting solutions, reports, and other deliverables that meet client needs
Support (and sometimes lead) delivery of engagements under the guidance of a Principal or Partner
Develop trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and influencers
Contribute to delivering a range of consulting solutions across service offerings, drawing on knowledge of the client\xe2\x80\x99s needs, Heidrick Consulting products and tools, insights developed via diagnosis and external best practice to meet client needs
Support preparation of project plans and team mobilization; report to clients on progress, track project effort against budget and provide input to the preparation of client invoices
Prepare compelling reports, presentations and other client deliverables to achieve maximum client impact
Facilitate and work in partnership with client teams; manage and design client meeting agendas
Plan and prioritize own work to cope with peaks in demand and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
Contribute to thought leadership by supporting senior team members to develop new or enhanced products, tools and methodologies
Actively develop self to build own capability to support a broad range of consulting services
Actively give and receive honest feedback to drive learning and performance
Key contributor to creating new business proposals, supporting the end-to-end business development cycle
Working collaboratively across the Firm and with Heidrick Consulting, support the expansion of assigned accounts
Contributes to firm level initiatives (e.g. training, recruitment, ERGs, etc.)
Develops new and existing relationships across Heidrick Consulting and Executive Search

The Person
Qualifications & Experience
Interest in leadership, people, commercial dynamics, organizations and behavior; leads with curiosity \xe2\x80\x93 about others, our business, our clients\xe2\x80\x99 businesses
Undergraduate degree is required; Occupational/Organizational Psychology, MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
5+ years of work experience in a business environment, with 3 years in a management or leadership consulting environment with regular exposure and engagement with clients.
Demonstrated ability to drive an efficient process throughout a project including setting and executing against deadlines.
Highly numerate with excellent report writing skills
Highly proficient in PowerPoint and advanced Excel
Fluent English; other language skills a plus
Willingness to travel locally and globally as required
