Job Description

Urgently hiring Electrical & Instrument Engineer (E&I Engineer) for OGSI Oil & Gas Fields Equipment Manufacturing in JAFZA, Dubai, UAE.

OGSI designs and manufactures high quality products and metering systems for the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Power Generation industries.

The E&I Engineer will do the Design and Selection of Instrumentation and Electrical Equipment and he must be an ATEX/IECEx Company Responsible Person.

Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively within the discipline group.

Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Preparation & checking of documents produced "in-house" relating to instrumentation.

Preparation & checking of hazardous area drawings & calculations.

Company ATEX and IECEx responsible person for all OGH products.

Ensure all technicians are working to the correct ATEX standards including EN 60079-14.

Ensure all OGH products meet the correct ATEX standards depending on the type of protection required.

Liaise with OGH's selected Notified Body on all ATEX and IECEx related issues.

Ensure correct procedures for all OGH's hazardous area products are followed regardless of the manufacturing location.

Checking of documents produced by suppliers relating to instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Providing engineering support and resolution of technical issues relating to instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Custodian for document templates relating to instrumentation.

Review & interpretation of specifications, standards & regulations relating to instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Selection of goods & services relating to instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Assisting Purchasing with obtaining quotations from suppliers & sub-contractors, reviewing quotations.

Reviewing plant layout with respect to instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Attendance during inspection & testing relating to instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Participation in Contract Review / Kick-off Meetings.

Participation in Design Review Meetings.

Participation in P&ID & GA Review Meetings.

Participation in HAZOP / HAZID / SIL Meetings.

Participation in Workshop Handover & Sub-Contract Pre-Inspection Meetings.

Participation in Close Out Meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
