Job Description

We are urgently hiring a Chief Design Engineer for OGSI, the leading name in designing and manufacturing high-quality products and metering systems for the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries. The centerpiece of this facility is the hydrocarbon flow laboratory with calibration methods that include a master meter and a small volume prover.

Job Function:

Design & implement solutions for oil & gas projects, including pipelines, vessels, skids, and plant layouts. Develop technical drawings and 3D models per industry codes and OGSI standards. Support all project phases - from concept to construction - while coordinating with operations, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design quality, safety & compliance.

Responsibilities:

Create 2D and 3D designs, P&IDs, layouts, and schematics using CAD and engineering software. Develop material specifications, equipment lists, and design calculations. Ensure designs meet project scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements. Perform detailed design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases. Identify design risks and propose effective mitigation strategies. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation elements. Adhere to international codes such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO. Ensure quality of engineering deliverables through rigorous checks and compliance audits Assist in preparing documentation for client and third-party review. Stay updated with the latest design tools and techniques in the oil and gas industry. Recommend improvements in design standards, templates, and methodologies. Foster a mindset of innovation to improve design accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Additional Certification in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, AVEVA, etc.) preferred.

Additional:

5 - 7 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the oil & gas sector. Hands-on experience in upstream/downstream facilities, equipment design, and piping systems. Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams on EPC or brownfield projects.
