About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Laundry Department in Dubai, the Dry Cleaner is responsible to ensure that all guest garments and uniforms are meticulously cleaned and finished to the highest standards set by Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai. Dry Cleaner reports to Laundry Supervisor.
As a Dry Cleaner, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Operate dry-cleaning equipment and handle chemicals safely, treating garments according to care instructions and using appropriate washing, drying, and stain removal methods.
• Conduct thorough inspections of garments before and after cleaning, hand-washing delicate items when needed, and notifying guests if stains cannot be removed.
• Support garment pressing and finishing processes to ensure a polished and professional presentation of all laundered items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and safe to use.
• Collaborate with team members to promote a positive work environment, assist with daily operations, and contribute to performance development and continuous improvement.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints regarding laundry services with professionalism, aiming to exceed expectations and create memorable service experiences in line with MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences.

As a Dry Cleaner, we expect from you:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; a Vocational Diploma in Textiles, Fabric Care, or related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of dry-cleaning experience in a luxury hotel environment; Middle East experience is a plus.
• Proficient in operating dry-cleaning equipment and using chemicals safely, with strong expertise in fabric care, stain removal, and garment handling.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English is essential; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and handling labour-intensive tasks, with flexibility for overnight shifts and a professional demeanour.
