The Driver Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of company drivers. This includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations, optimizing driver schedules, maintaining fleet efficiency, and addressing any operational issues that arise. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively between drivers, dispatch, and management.
Key Responsibilities:1. Driver Management:
Supervise and coordinate drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
Assign routes and schedules based on business needs.
Monitor driver attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.
Handle driver concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
2. Fleet Operations & Compliance:
Ensure all vehicles are maintained and comply with local transport regulations.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections and arrange for repairs when needed.
Enforce company safety policies and UAE road transport laws.
Keep records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and mileage.
3. Logistics & Coordination:
Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Resolve any operational delays or issues promptly.
Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Communicate with customers if needed to provide delivery updates.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain logs of driver activities, incidents, and vehicle usage.
Prepare performance reports and submit to management.
Ensure proper documentation for driver licenses, vehicle permits, and insurance.
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role within logistics or transportation.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics are a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of UAE road regulations and transportation laws.
License:
Valid UAE driving license is a must.
