A Construction Document Controller in the UAE manages project documentation such as drawings, contracts, and reports, ensuring proper organization, version control, distribution, and archiving of all construction-related documents, often using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Key responsibilities include coordinating with project teams and external stakeholders, maintaining document accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Document Management: Receive, classify, organize, and archive all project-related documents, including technical drawings, specifications, contracts, correspondence, and reports.
Version Control: Implement and monitor a rigorous system for managing document revisions to ensure that only the latest, approved versions are in use.
Distribution & Access: Track and control the distribution of documents to all relevant project stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and internal teams, using transmittals and acknowledgements.
System Administration: Manage electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as Aconex or SharePoint for accurate data entry, filing, and retrieval.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure documents are accurate, complete, and filed correctly, and that all project activities comply with company standards.
Communication & Support: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other teams to gather necessary information, resolve document-related issues, and provide support for project activities.
Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential project information with discretion, maintaining data integrity.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction or real estate industry, preferably with experience in the UAE.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized document management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint).
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills to manage a large volume of documents efficiently.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to maintain accuracy and consistency in all document-related tasks.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in English, to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.
UAE/GCC Knowledge: Experience in the GCC region, particularly the UAE, and potential knowledge of the local labor law.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
