Director of Carrier Relations
The International Markets team is looking for a Director of Carrier Relations to lead strategic initiatives and manage all communication, agreements, and relations with the vendors/carriers globally including vendor relations, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and vendor performance management. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining executive and strategic alliances based on the company\'s comprehensive suite of cloud communication products. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership and people skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Director of Carrier Relations
The International Markets team is looking for a Director of Carrier Relations to lead strategic initiatives and manage all communication, agreements, and relations with the vendors/carriers globally including vendor relations, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and vendor performance management. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining executive and strategic alliances based on the company\'s comprehensive suite of cloud communication products. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership and people skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities. The responsibilities of the Director of Carrier Relations include but are not limited to:
Define the carrier strategy that enables the company to achieve its full performance.- Build new connectivity with carriers, operators, and partners for all of Unifonic\xe2\x80\x99s products: SMS, voice, and other services.
- Manage the relationship with our carriers and partners to ensure we maintain the highest levels of quality in the most cost-effective manner.
- Implement new/updated contacts and partnerships working with the internal teams (Product, Finance, Engineering, Sales, and Operations).
- Manage all the operational side of the carrier relations: rate management, monitoring of the traffic, cost, and quality optimization.
- Negotiate and agree on the interconnection rates with the national and international operators.
- Build the company\'s image in the international market in the telecommunications and API industry.
- Deep working knowledge of telecom network topology with a strong technical understanding of telecommunications concepts
- Explore new markets and build new carrier interconnection to support growth objectives.
- Manage commercial, business, and strategic relations and service escalations with global partners, including Operators and resellers.
- Work closely with the leadership team and key stakeholders within the business units across different countries to understand the market trends and the evolving service needs of our customers.
- Hands-on 7+ years of recent experience in a Carrier Relations role within the Telecom Industry in the Middle East.
- Experience managing and scaling a team for a leading CPaaS player is advantageous.
- Experience collaborating with Legal, Product Management, Network Planning, NOC, Engineering and Provisioning, and other teams to successfully implement new vendors and optimize our network.
- Experience with A2P SMS and Voice products.
- Successful track record of growing carrier relationships.
- Experience initiating, driving and leading Contract negotiations including MSA, Pricing, SLA and Amendments
- Extensive industry knowledge and a network of contacts across telecommunications providers in MENA.
- Strong leadership skills, including executive-level presentation, communication and reporting skills, strategic thinking and problem solving.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration or other related fields.
- Multicultural interaction and records management.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English and excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
