The Director of Public Relations and Communications is responsible for the development and execution of an annual strategic and integrated plan that is comprised of public relations, social media and marketing communications strategies that support the hotel/resort\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives, increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel, leading position in the community, its Food and Beverage outlets, Spa, services and personnel, partnerships and contribute to driving traffic and revenues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of digital & social media marketing concepts and techniques.

- Create innovative publicity programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel, its spa, culinary programs, services, and personnel. Programs should address specific needs as outlined in the marketing plan and capitalize on unexpected opportunities as they arise.

- Maximize opportunities for publicity in all media through careful research and targeted editorial pitch plan, focused on key feeder markets for both the group and leisure segments. Maintain professional relationships with media to support achieving the goals outlined in the Public Relations plan, including the distribution of targeted media releases, media kits, pitches, and other Public Relations related material.

- Assist in the development and execution of an annual Public Relations plan as an integral part of hotel marketing plan, based on guidelines given in the annual plan instructions, including a Public Relations roadmap, segment strategies, and key Public Relations initiatives.

- Utilize all available electronic marketing tools to increase exposure to all available outlets, including the development of an eNewsletter; oversight of E-Mail broadcasts; Customized Mini-Sites; and all related electronic opportunities. Maintain current image library and video footage to maximize media coverage.

- Update and maintain property website within the corporate standards, and maintain current image library and video footage to maximize media coverage.

- Comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee.

- Ensure that all hotel promotions, advertising, direct mail pieces, and collateral are in keeping with Four Seasons image and reflect the highest level of professionalism in content and presentation.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- A experienced candidate in same/similar capacity .

- Strong and effective interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), a strong sense of quality and a creative mind set.

- A self-starter that can multi-task and prioritise.

- The ability to create newsworthy events, develop story ideas and follow through with pitch leads and creative digital execution A portfolio highlighting writing samples, project and media plans will be required.
