We are currently looking for a senior business intelligence professional to work with a large government entity in the region. This role is focused on leveraging data and information to support strategic objectives and maximize shareholder value.

Job description:

- Lead the development of Business Intelligence vision, strategy and roadmap. Identify and embed specific opportunities to leverage data and information to support the company\'s strategic objectives
- Remain abreast of BI and relevant industry developments and use-cases, and introduce these to the business by periodically refreshing the strategy and roadmap
- Support ad hoc initiatives, including strategy development, strategic studies and implementation programs
- Provide inputs for the development of strategy, plans and budgets of the department
- Measure performance against set targets for the team and provide guidance for achievement of targets
- Lead thinking and solutions development from a business perspective to identify how data can add value, insights and capabilities
- Enhance dashboards for management to make informed business decisions and advising them on the best ways to use provided data
- Establish and develop advanced analytics capabilities, identifying relevant and practical use-cases, and working with existing team members to deliver projects and embed in the business
- Lead and work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data that drive business solutions and create commercial value
- Shape and strategically steer individual Business Intelligence projects and initiatives, in partnership with existing BI team members and with other functions, such as: IT etc.

Job requirements:

- As per client request, UAE national would be preferred
- 12+ years of of relevant experience, using analytics to drive business insights and results in a large entity
- Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
- Bachelors Degree in Technology, Business or related
