Director of Business Operations OMC Grade: GG15 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for the development and agreement of the strategy for the OMC portfolio of In Kingdom Partner Companies (KPC's), formulating the associated plans and resources to be successful in their delivery. Leading activities to identify and prosecute Mergers or Acquisitions to grow the business going forward. The candidate will be expected to establish and maintain project management and control to support large, high value, complex and strategically important programmes. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Responsible for the development of the OMC strategy for the holding company and the KPC's to drive the business forward. Identification of businesses that would fit into the OMC portfolio of companies and leading any associated Merger or Acquisition. Working with shareholders to identify priorities/objectives for the KPC's and agreeing associated non-financial objectives for the businesses Regular reviews with the KPC's holding them accountable for their performance. Supporting Shareholders in understanding the performance of the portfolio and addressing any of their requirements. Will lead a team of professional and managerial staff, being responsible for managing their delivery and performance and providing appraisal and support to their development. Is responsible for liaison with other business functions and KPCs. This will be essential to the delivery of the role outcomes. Has extensive, expert level knowledge and understanding of Line of Business and Projects/ Programmes/ Portfolios. Has extensive project management and strategic principles with experience demonstrated in a professional or managerial role within a business or Projects/ Programmes/ Portfolios. Management of corporate governance and assurance associated with the KPC's Will have extensive knowledge of the Project Management career framework including with Professional institutions. Will have extensive, expert level knowledge and experience of PM governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and as Chair at LCM Reviews. Has significant experience of influencing stakeholders both inside and outside the company. Has a strong ability to influence internal stakeholders to achieve business success.
