Job Description

Job Purpose:





The job purpose of the Director of Facilities Management is to provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of facility operations. This includes developing and implementing plans to ensure the efficient and cost-effective functioning of physical spaces, aligning FM Strategies with organizational goals, and managing teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and optimal working environment.





Principal Responsibilities:





1_ Strategic Leadership:

Provide strategic direction and leadership in developing and executing facilities management strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

2_Budget Management:

Responsible for creating and managing budgets related to facilities' operations. This involves cost analysis, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

3_ Team Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of facilities professionals, providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring optimal performance.

4_ Assets' Management:

Promote assets management approach in Facilities management. Oversee the integrated management system including implementation of processes and procedures to support business growth.

5_Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure cost-effective services.

6_ Technology Integration:

Stay abreast of technological advancements in facility management. Implement relevant technologies to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

7_ Business Continuity:

Oversee emergency response plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of occupants during critical situations. Promote business continuity and activate resilience plans when required.

8_ Communication:

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including department heads and executives, providing regular updates on facility operations, challenges, and accomplishments.

9_ Reporting:
Generate and present regular reports on key performance indicators, budget adherence, and overall facility performance to senior management.

10_ FM Project Management:
Overview of the execution of all FM Projects within the specified area taking into consideration all technical and commercial aspects.

11_ Sustainability Initiatives:
Integrate environmentally sustainable practices into facility management, promoting energy efficiency and eco-friendly solutions.

12_ Compliance:

Ensure facilities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Implement and monitor safety and environmental protocols.
