About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Director - Accounting, Reporting & Compliance (ARC)
to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in statutory audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, combined with proven leadership and client advisory skills. This role will be pivotal in driving assurance quality, delivering strategic insights, and strengthening our ARC service offering across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Audit Leadership
Lead and manage statutory audits for listed, multinational, and private clients across diverse industries and geographies.
Oversee end-to-end audit engagements, including planning, execution, reporting, and finalisation, ensuring adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
Accounting & Reporting
Review and advise on preparation of financial statements under
IFRS, Ind AS, and local GAAP
.
Ensure compliance with disclosure requirements for listed and multinational clients.
Provide technical expertise on complex accounting issues and reporting matters.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements across jurisdictions.
Evaluate internal control frameworks, conduct risk assessments, and recommend improvements.
Engage with Audit Committees and senior stakeholders on governance, compliance, and reporting matters.
Client Engagement & Business Development
Act as a trusted advisor to
CFOs, CXOs, and Audit Committees
, providing insights and resolutions on accounting and reporting issues.
Drive client relationship management, proposal development, and identification of cross-service opportunities.
Contribute to the growth of the ARC practice and enhance Uniqus' brand presence in the market.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Oversee training and upskilling initiatives to ensure teams remain current with evolving accounting and audit standards.
Core Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (ICAI, CPA, ACCA, Dip. IFR or equivalent).
Experience:
10+ years' progressive experience in statutory audit, accounting, and financial reporting, ideally with Big 4 or top-tier firms.
Technical Expertise:
Strong command of
IFRS, Ind AS, local GAAP
, and disclosure requirements.
In-depth knowledge of
statutory audit methodologies, internal controls, and risk management frameworks
.
International Exposure:
Experience working across multiple geographies (India, Middle East, North America, or Europe).
Leadership:
Proven track record of managing teams, engagements, and large client portfolios.
Client Advisory Skills:
Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders and present technical insights in a clear and actionable manner.
Business Acumen:
Demonstrated ability to support business development, client acquisition, and practice growth.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ethical foundation and client service mindset.
