The Director Financial Reporting will oversee the organizations consolidated financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with IFRS standards. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capability, and experience managing financial reporting within complex, multi-entity structures. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the finance team, auditors, and senior management to ensure timely and high-quality reporting and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and internal reporting policies.
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.
Oversee group consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and adjustments across multiple entities.
Ensure compliance with all accounting, financial, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and timely completion of financial reviews.
Develop and maintain financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen the governance framework.
Partner with the CFO and senior management on strategic financial planning and analysis.
Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the financial reporting team.
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across business units, shared services, and audit teams.
Candidate Profile Must-Haves:
Nationality: UAE National (Mandatory)
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in Big 4 or equivalent multinational audit experience (Assistant Manager level and above considered).
Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA) non-negotiable.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IFRS and complex group consolidations non-negotiable.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
Demonstrated success working in shared services or large group environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with CFOs, audit teams, and cross-functional departments.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion, ARCS, and FCCS systems.
Background in real estate or investment holding companies.
Demonstrated track record in service excellence, process optimization, and financial transformation initiatives.
