Director Of Academic Development Full Time NewJob Title: Director of Academic DevelopmentKey Responsibilities Functional Lead the development of the universitys Academic Development strategy and related policies and procedures based on the university's strategy for the continuous development and improvement of the AI programs offered to the students.Ensure the Development of the Academic Development policies and processes in line with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Artificial Intelligence standards, policies and procedures and any other related requirements.Oversee the collaboration with other university divisions to implement academic development policies and procedures and to achieve and graduate enrollment goals.Oversee the development of AI specialized educational programs in partnership with the respective organization units and in conjunction with local and international content providers.Oversee the content development of the various AI educational programs in coordination with the respective content service providers and ensure adherence to the contractual requirements.Coordinate with the Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Assurance organizational unit to ensure the development of all the accreditation requirements for the newly developed educational programs and ensure compliance and obtaining the needed approvals from the relevant entities (Ministry of Education, Commission for Academic Accreditation, National Qualifications Authority, etc.)Coordinate with relevant organizational units in the review of market intelligence research and studies to identify the potential need to introduce new AI Educational Programs that can be delivered at the university.Oversee the management of the university library services to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital learning resources to enhance the learning experience for each program and infrastructure in accordance with the university's academic strategy.Promote the library services to the whole academic community and maintain effective routes for receiving feedback from faculty, students, researchers and other users, acting upon this feedback to continuously enhance the quality and impact of library and its offered services.Oversee the development of the digital library infrastructure and enable comprehensive access to e-books, e-journals, databases, data and digital objects.Oversee the management of the universitys digital learning platforms and lead the efforts of continuous innovation in the use of systems and technologies to deliver leading-edge services and support to both on and off campus use in a cost-effective way.Oversee the evaluation and assessment of the effectiveness of all educational programs to ensure high quality of education is continuously provided to the university learners and the learning objectives and outcomes of its programs are being achieved.Oversee the effective implementation of actions to enhance the offered educational programs and their delivery methods through continuous quality improvement.Ensure continuous improvement across all services of the Academic Development department.Operational Institutional Strategy Manage the plans to ensure seamless operations that facilitate the achievement of the university strategic objectives. Ensure the timely provision of data and reports to the management and recommend operational improvements to support in planning, decision making and continuous improvement. Monitor monthly and quarterly performance results, identify performance gaps and ramifications, and lead the development of corrective actions that tackle the root causes. Ensure that the department priorities and plans are aligned with the universitys strategic objectives and are delivered, on time, within budget and with highest quality. Financial & Organizational Management Manage the budget across the department to ensure complete adherence and highlight any deviation from the plan in a timely manner and take corrective action as necessary and in line with the approved governance process. Consolidate budget inputs to formulate department budget and submit for approval and further consolidation. Promote usage of technology resources and cross-collaboration between departments within the university. Ensure implementation of policies and procedures applicable to the department. People Management Manage the formulation of workforce planning reports and talent acquisition plan and budgets for the department to ensure adequate staffing for optimal operational smoothness and submit to the Line Manager for approval. Set performance management objectives for all reportees and perform mid-year and year end performance reviews. Identify talent for pivotal roles from a succession management standpoint to ensure business continuity and liaise with Human Resources for enrolment in the necessary programs. Provide guidance to reportees on operational and people management matters.
