Job Description
DevOps Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of projects and services to meet client's needs, and responsible for maintaining client relationships. The DevOps manager will be release and deployment management, service monitoring, support and problem management of Bespin Global Clients. Essential functions:
- Managing the implantation, deployment, and integration of solutions, ensuring successful delivery, high quality, and sustainability of solutions.
- Ensure projects and/ or services are delivered to required performance targets (scope, plan, cost, security, service levels).
- Develop deep understanding of DevOps projects to gain insights into the scope of service delivery
- Taking accountability for team performance, meeting customer expectations, and driving future demand
- Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of DevOps delivery team
- Promote DevOps strategies and implementation goals
- Play a key role in DevOps RND practice
- Analyse 3rd-party as well as internal processes, and creating strategies for DevOps delivery team optimization
- Identify appropriate business and technical solutions to resolve issue when arise, act as escalation point
- Ensure that service delivery is monitored effectively and that identified actions to maintain or improve levels of service are implemented.
- Negotiate with relevant parties in respect of disruptions and major amendments to the provision of services.
- Accountable for the profit and loss of projects
- Create and implement policies & procedures for DevOps delivery team
- Recommending methods of improvement and seeing that actions are implemented on time for service delivery upgrades
- Ensuring that operational methods, procedures, facilities, and tools are established, reviewed, and maintained.
- Providing accurate and regular reports to the management on performance of the DevOps delivery team
- Lead employee management, including staff recruitment, performance assessment, training, and mentoring
- Build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to enable effective dialogue exchange between departments
- Collaborating with pre-sales teams to set standards for DevOps practices offering
- Manage DevOps team, assigning and monitoring workflow and ensuring quality and efficiency is maintained
- Work in a team environment in supporting the team KPIs
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership and resource management capabilities
- Allocating proper resources to projects according to the relevant experience of the team members
- Minimum of 10 years of experience out of which 5 years of hands-on experience delivering DevOps Solutions
- Experience in micro services architecture
- Experience in serverless architecture
- Experience in delivering DevOps solutions on cloud infrastructure
- Expert understanding of IT aspects (Security, infrastructure, networks, applications)
- Experience leading cloud Devops, and modernization practices.
- Experience in managing P/L of projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skill
- Experience in building and managing a team
- Hands on experience of for one of public cloud is a must (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineer, or any other IT related degree
- Knowledge of at least one Project Management/ collaboration tool (MS Project, Jira, azure DevOps, Trello or similar)
- Scrum, PMP, Prince, or any other project related certification
- ITIL V4
