About the Role:

Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking a Development Operations Manager- Digital to join our existing Digital Team in the Headquarter located in Dubai, UAE. The Development Operations Manager's primary responsibility is to lead and manage the development team within the Development Operations department to build industry-leading products using robust architectural practices and innovative software solutions that fit the purpose. S/he will manage and maintain TV Channel digital platform, including website/s, Native APPs, and OTT services. Must be able to coordinate effectively with various vendors and technical experts as well as internal stakeholders. S/he will be working in a highly pressured environment where the requirements and level of support will be varied and challenging.
Key Accountabilities:
The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:
Maintain and manage TV Channel digital platform assets, including the web site/s and native mobile APPs and related development processes optimizing self-hosted Headless CMS platform and integrations.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders for continuous improvement of all digital assets.
Oversees the development of systems, whether these are standalone, integrated with other broadcast graphics solutions, or components of much larger projects.
Ensure that the effectiveness of the Broadcast Development team is maximized, that systems meet requirements of quality and timeliness, and that high standards of communication are maintained with Editorial and business stakeholders.
Defines and enforces coding standards, implements effective code review, and ensures that they are followed in a best-practice manner without compromising the flexibility of the department's output.
Works with other development areas within the Technical Department to seek opportunities for aligning development strategies to meet Fast and First News workflow.
Delivers new systems and system upgrades on time and to specification; Ensures smooth handover of deployed systems to Integration and Test, Support, or other parties as required.
Remains aware of upcoming technology and plans training schedules accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
At least 7 years of experience in handling Full stack of CMS, iOS/Android native and hybrid application development. Working in a media/ publishing environment.
Experience with Self-Hosted Headless CMS, RESTful API, GraphQL, JamStack, any Tech stack Integration to meet internal digital delivery goals.
Competency in Node.js, XML, JS, JSON, HTML and CSS
Awareness and knowledge of HTML5, React, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Vue.js, Gatsby, Flutter or Angular, supports both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Good experience with Public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google etc.)
Understanding CDN, DNS, CI/CD, and Deployment methods.
Familiar with web servers and understanding how it works (apache, tomcat, NGINX).
Experience with audio/video workflows, streaming etc. is desirable.
Experience of working in an Agile environment desirable.
Must be able to respond well under stress and think quickly under pressure.
Able to communicate clearly with people in diverse roles.
Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage business, people, and customer requirements.
Robust, pragmatic personality.
Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management.
