Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1. Department Leadership & Management

Lead, manage, and mentor the Design Department team, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across projects. Establish, implement, and continuously improve the

design process flow

, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. Develop design documentation standards, templates, and review procedures. Foster a collaborative environment between design, estimation, procurement, and project management teams.

2. Design Development & Coordination

Oversee the preparation of design concepts, presentations, and detailed drawings in accordance with client briefs and project requirements. Ensure design deliverables are aligned with budget, timeline, and technical constraints. Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to designers and draftsmen. Coordinate with MEP, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and buildable designs.

3. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Attend

client meetings

to understand design intent, gather feedback, and present design proposals. Work closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction throughout all design phases. Translate client needs into innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing design solutions. Provide design presentations, 3D visuals, and mock-ups when required.

4. Site Visits & Technical Support

Conduct regular

site visits

to review design implementation, verify design intent, and resolve technical challenges. Collaborate with project and construction teams to ensure design compliance and resolve any site-related design issues. Ensure all design modifications during execution are documented and approved.

5. Business Development & Market Engagement

Support the management team in

exploring new business opportunities

through design proposals and presentations. Participate in tenders and proposals, providing design concepts and technical inputs for client pitches. Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners to generate future business leads. Keep abreast of market trends, new materials, and innovative technologies in design and construction.
