About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic
Deputy General Manager - Construction
with extensive experience in managing large-scale residential and commercial building projects, particularly high-rise towers. The ideal candidate must have deep technical & commercial expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a strong understanding of UAE construction laws, regulations, and standards.
This senior-level role will support the General Manager in overseeing all construction operations, from planning and execution to project handover, ensuring that quality, safety, budget, and timelines are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for on-time delivery of Project with desired quality & within budget.
Lead and manage the overall construction execution for multiple high-rise projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project-specific KPIs.
Assist the General Manager in planning, resource allocation, budgeting, risk management, and contract administration.
Provide technical leadership to project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure project progress achieve as per the program & meets specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards within the budget.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, authorities, and subcontractors for smooth execution of construction phases.
Review and validate project schedules, budget, cost reports, and progress plans regularly.
Ensure compliance with local authorities including Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, and other statutory bodies.
Drive value engineering initiatives, cost optimization, and construction innovation.
Mentor and develop mid-level managers and engineers under the company's succession plan.
Report regularly to the General Manager on project milestones, risks, and corrective actions.
Skills & Competencies Required
Proven track record in delivering large-scale residential/commercial towers from ground-breaking to handover.
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
In-depth knowledge of UAE construction codes, DM/Trakhees/DDA standards, and municipality regulations.
Strong command over project planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and ERP systems.
Highly organized with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); Master's Degree preferred.
