Job Summary:

A Deputy Executive Director in construction typically

supports the Executive Director in overseeing all aspects of construction operations.

This includes project planning, execution, team leadership, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. They also play a key role in strategic planning, operational management, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and executing the strategic and operational plans of the Construction Sector. Supervise project execution to ensure compliance with approved engineering and quality standards. Coordinate with various internal departments (Engineering, Contracts, Procurement, Finance, HR) to ensure operational integration. Review and report on project KPIs and performance metrics to the Executive Manager. Support high-level decision-making and provide strategic technical and managerial recommendations. Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, and suppliers as required. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to quality, safety, and risk management. Oversee the evaluation and development of human capital within the construction division.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required

Experience:

Proven experience in managing large-scale construction and projects in the UAE.

Minimum of 15 years

of experience in the construction industry, including

at least 5 years in a senior management or executive role.

Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction regulations, especially in Sharjah. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for managing teams and interacting with stakeholders. The ability to identify and resolve issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions is important.
