Job Summary:
The Denting Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of denting technicians to perform high-quality dent removal, panel beating, and metal shaping on vehicles. The role ensures efficient workflow, adherence to safety standards, and customer satisfaction while meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of denting technicians.
• Assign tasks and monitor workflow to meet daily production goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

2. Denting & Repair Operations:

• Oversee dent removal, panel straightening, and metal shaping using tools like hammers, dollies, and hydraulic equipment.
• Ensure repairs meet quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles for hidden damages and recommend repairs.

3. Quality Control:

• Verify repaired surfaces are smooth and ready for painting.
• Ensure proper use of fillers, primers, and finishing techniques.
• Address rework issues promptly.

4. Workshop Efficiency:

• Monitor inventory of tools, materials, and spare parts.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., painting, mechanical) for seamless workflow.
• Implement process improvements to reduce turnaround time.

5. Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols (PPE, tool handling, hazardous materials).
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations.

6. Customer Service:

• Communicate repair progress to customers/service advisors.
• Address customer concerns professionally.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: High school diploma; certification in auto body repair preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in denting/panel beating, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in dent removal tools (e.g., stud welders, body hammers) and welding.
• Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, time management, teamwork.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for long hours.

Work Environment:

• Automotive repair workshop (noisy, exposure to chemicals/dust).
• Full-time role with overtime as needed.
