Selfdrive is seeking a proactive and result-oriented Debt Collection / Recovery Executive to join our Customer Claims & Recovery Support team. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely follow-ups, payment collections, and resolution of outstanding dues from customers. Ideal candidates will have experience in the car rental industry, banking collections, or claims recovery, with strong communication skills and a proven ability to manage high-volume tele calling operations.
What You'll Do:
Contact customers via phone calls, emails, and other channels to follow up on outstanding payments and overdue accounts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of calls, payment commitments, and collection progress.
Educate customers on payment terms, late fees, and consequences of non-payment in a professional and courteous manner.
Negotiate and set up payment arrangements or recovery schedules with customers based on internal guidelines.
Coordinate with internal departments (Accounts, Legal, Customer Service) to escalate unresolved or disputed claims.
Generate and maintain collection reports and dashboards for management review.
Identify and report potential fraud, high-risk behavior, or repeat defaulters to the appropriate team.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations governing collections and customer communication.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
2-4 years in collections, recovery, or customer claims roles within the car rental, banking, or automotive services sectors.
Experience handling inbound and outbound recovery calls and documenting customer interactions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication and persuasive negotiation skills.
Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional in difficult conversations.
Fluent in English; Arabic language proficiency is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with CRM systems, Excel reporting, and digital payment platforms.
High level of attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Background:
Previous experience in car rental agencies, vehicle leasing, or bank recovery departments.
Basic understanding of UAE legal framework regarding debts and recovery is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Analytical thinker with problem-solving aptitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Proactive and self-driven, with a focus on quality and delivery.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
