The Demi Chef de Partie - Production is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality dishes within the assigned section (Continental, Oriental, or Asian). The role supports the Chef de Partie in maintaining kitchen efficiency, ensuring hygiene standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and produce menu items according to standard recipes and specifications for Continental, Oriental, or Asian cuisines.
Assist the Chef de Partie in managing mise en place and stock rotation for the section.
Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely and consistent manner.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the production area at all times.
Monitor portions and waste to reduce food costs.
Follow kitchen operating procedures and safety protocols.
Assist with daily cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.
Support junior staff and assist in their training as required.
Communicate effectively with the team and coordinate with service staff when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 2-3 years of kitchen experience in a professional setting, preferably within Continental, Oriental, or Asian cuisine.
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
