To support the Pastry Chef in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality desserts and pastry items, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and excellence in line with 3 Fils' culinary standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Production
Prepare and produce pastry and dessert items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
Assist in baking, plating, and finishing desserts for service.
Ensure mise-en-place is prepared accurately and on time.
Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry items.
Operational Support
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the pastry section at all times.
Assist in receiving, storing, and labeling ingredients following
FIFO procedures
.
Ensure safe handling and proper maintenance of pastry equipment and tools.
Support kitchen operations efficiently during peak hours.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
Strict compliance with
food safety and HACCP guidelines
.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times.
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow.
Communicate any shortages, quality issues, or equipment concerns promptly.
Support colleagues when required during busy operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum
2 years of experience
in a pastry kitchen.
Basic knowledge of baking techniques, desserts, and pastry preparation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long working hours.
Ability to safely handle kitchen equipment and perform repetitive tasks.
