Job Description

Cherwell Interiors is looking for a skilled and experienced Cutting Lister with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the interior design or woodworking industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating accurate cutting lists for various materials and components used in the production of furniture and interior design projects. You will work closely with the design and production teams to ensure all components are accurately measured, cut, and assembled.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate accurate cutting lists for wood, veneer, MDF, and other materials based on project designs and specifications. Review architectural and design drawings to extract accurate measurements and dimensions for cutting materials. Work closely with the production team to ensure that cutting lists are accurate and align with project requirements. Ensure that the correct materials are ordered, cut, and delivered on time to avoid project delays. Monitor and track material usage, ensuring that wastage is minimized and resources are used efficiently. Coordinate with the production team to ensure all components are fabricated and assembled according to specifications. Maintain records of cutting lists, material orders, and production schedules. Assist in troubleshooting any issues related to cutting or material specification discrepancies. Ensure that all cutting processes adhere to safety and quality standards. Support the management team in planning and scheduling production activities. Stay updated on new materials, tools, and techniques in the industry to enhance efficiency and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cutting lister or a similar role, preferably in interior design or furniture manufacturing. Strong understanding of materials, cutting techniques, and production processes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting design drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements. Ability to use various cutting and measuring tools effectively. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills to work closely with design and production teams. Knowledge of production scheduling and material management. Familiarity with CAD or other design software is a plus.
